There is no 2113 Nanhai District in Guangzhou, which belongs to 5261 in Foshan City, Guangdong Province.

Nanhai District, located in the hinterland of 1653 in the Pearl River Delta 4102, connects Fangcun District and Panyu District of Guangzhou in the east, Shunde District, Heshan City and Xinhui District in the south, Sanshui District and Gaoming District in the west, Huadu District in the north, and surrounds Foshan Chancheng District. It is located between 22 48 ′ 03 ″ north latitude and 112 49 ′ 55 ″ east longitude. Nanhai District covers a total area of 1073.82 square kilometers.

In 2015, Nanhai District governed 1 street, 6 towns, 67 villages and 182 neighborhood committees, with a total population of 3 million by 2015. The main attractions are: Xiqiao Mountain, Southern Taoyuan, Nanhai Xianhu Tourist Resort, Nanhai Film and Television City, Qiandeng Lake and so on.

On November 27th, 1950, Huanggang, Tancun, Xincun, Chenxiangsha and other villages in Shang &;enzhou Township, Zone II were owned by Panyu County.

On January 12, 1951, the central government approved the establishment of Foshan as a city. After preparation, Foshan was established on June 26, and was officially divided from Nanhai County into a provincial city.

At the beginning of 1952, in order to facilitate the land reform, the West Coast Township in the fifth district was assigned to Gaoming County, and the part of Zoumaying Village in Shishan Township, which originally belonged to Sanshui County, was assigned to Nanhai County. In June, Shixiang, Shunde County was placed under Nanhai County.

In May 1953, West Coast Township returned to the fifth district of Nanhai County.

On February 16, 1954, the villages of Shige, Yangtang, Guofang, Gesha and Nanyong in Dongsan Township, the sixth district, belonged to Foshan City. On the 28th, Tianbian Village in Dienan Township was transferred to Foshan City.

On September 19, 1955, Songwei Village (also known as Songzhougang) in Hengsong Township, the eighth district was returned to Guangzhou.

In July 1956, Huashiwan Town was returned to Foshan City.
