Huadu belongs to South China and is a district of Guangzhou. Huadu District was designated as a county in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province in April 1960. On June 18, 1993, with the approval of the state, it was withdrawn from the county and set up as a city, named &”;Huadu&”;. On May 21, 2000, it was withdrawn from the city and divided into districts.
