In the 20 years since Panyu was divided into districts, due to its geographical advantages close to Guangzhou (the distance between Panyu&;s traditional urban bridge and Guangzhou is not far), Panyu&;s own urbanization needs, and the spillover and radiation of Guangzhou&;s urban functions, there is no doubt that Panyu District will be further integrated into Guangzhou&;s urban areas in the future. It may even be more urbanized than Baiyun District, which became a part of Guangzhou earlier (most of Baiyun District was originally under the jurisdiction of Panyu County, and a small part belonged to Nanhai County, in the north of Guangzhou City). This urbanization process, in which the land south of Shawan River in Panyu District belongs to Nansha District, seems to have not slowed down, but has come faster and more intensely. At present, the transformation of old villages that are being or are about to be carried out is blooming everywhere in the region, and more and more villages will give way to urban transformation and development. People&;s interest in urbanization is also declining, including the allocation and implementation of high-quality resources in various cities, including the convenience and benefits brought by urban life. Urbanization is irreversible, and the benefits of urbanization are irresistible. Of course, the inadaptability in the process of urbanization has become a common problem in cities. But overall, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. In the future, as long as Guangzhou continues to promote Nansha, as long as Guangzhou continues to give Nansha blood transfusion, as long as Nansha really turns around, Panyu, caught in the middle, will not be much worse.
