Guangdong Second Normal University, referred to as &”;Guangdong Second Normal University&”; (GDUE), is located in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. It is an ordinary undergraduate college in Guangdong Province, the pilot project base of the president of the Ministry of Education, and the national training plan base for teachers of the Ministry of Education. Guangdong Second Normal University, formerly known as Guangdong Institute of Education Administration founded in 1955, was renamed Guangdong Institute of Education in 1960, and in the same year, Guangdong Workers and Peasants Normal University was merged; It was closed in 1970, and the main body was devolved to Xinxing County in Zhaoqing, and Zhaoqing Normal School and Zhaoqing Normal College were founded successively; It was re-established in 1978. In 1982, it was designated as a provincial adult normal undergraduate college. In the same year, it started to hold adult normal undergraduate education. In 1985, it started to hold general college education. From 1990 to 2008, it held general undergraduate education. In 2010, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was restructured into an ordinary undergraduate college and renamed Guangdong Second Normal University. As of March 2021, the school has two campuses, Haizhu and Huadu, with a total area of 535 mu and an area of 500,000 square meters.
