This problem is very broad. Guangzhou&;s consumption is basically the same as that of the first-tier cities in China.
1. Eat: breakfast is basically 5-10 pieces, lunch and dinner: snack/clay pot rice in small restaurants: 15-20 per capita; Larger restaurants (other large restaurants such as Doudu): 40-80 per capita.
2. Transportation: Guangzhou Metro starts at 2 blocks, there are 2-3 buses and 2 ferries/section. It&;s enough to stroll around for more than 10 blocks of public transportation at the end of the day.
3. Water: about 2.5L of water a day, 10 yuan.
4. Accommodation: 150-250/ room in Home Inns and other express hotels, 30-80 beds in Youth Hostel. The price difference between single rooms and standard rooms is not big.
5. Tickets: Guangzhou scenic spots basically don&;t need tickets, Guang Zhouta Tower 150 (student tickets 75), some small museums and scenic spots that need tickets are all 5-10 yuan.
To sum up, I calculated the total expenses according to the actual situation.
And, personally, it won&;t take a week to shop in Guangzhou. If you have enough time, you can go to the surrounding Foshan, Shunde, Zhongshan, Zhuhai, Macau, Shenzhen, and have a nice trip.
