Guangzhou Metro Line 9 starts from Huadu Automobile City in the west and ends at Renhe Town in Baiyun District in the east, and meets Line 3, with a total length of 17.4 kilometers and 14 stations. It is expected to be opened at the end of 2013. Metro Line 9 can strengthen the connection between Huadu District and Guangzhou City, and also enable residents in Huadu District to travel to and from the new Baiyun Airport and Guangzhou City quickly. The initial stations of Line 9 are Automobile City, Guanxi, Hongmian Avenue, Bicun North Road, Fengxian Road, Jianshe North Road, Chayuan South Road, District, Tianmei, Liantang Village, Lianshan South Road, Qingbu Village, Guangtang Village and Renhe. Reference Line 1 Guangzhou Metro Line 1 was officially started on December 28, 1993, and its trial operation began on June 28, 1997. The first section was opened from Xilang to Huangsha, and the whole line was completed on December 28, 1998. It was not officially opened to traffic until June 28, 1999, marking the fourth city in mainland China to have a subway system after Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai. There are 16 stations in Guangzhou Metro Line 1, namely: guangzhou east railway station (intersecting with Line 3), Sports Center, Sports West Road (intersecting with Line 3), Yangji, Dongshankou, Martyrs Cemetery, Agricultural Institute, Park Front (intersecting with Line 2), Ximenkou, Chenjiaci, changshou road, Huangsha, Fangcun, Huadiwan, Kengkou and Xilang. Among them, Xilang and Kengkou are ground stations and others are underground stations. No.1 line was originally designed and installed with screen doors. Later, there were many incidents of passengers jumping off the track at the station of Line 1. For the sake of safety, the subway company successively installed screen doors at stations along the line. Screen doors can not only ensure the safety of passengers, but also achieve the purpose of energy saving. At present, only Huangsha Station has completed the installation of screen doors and has been put into use. Other stations are still in progress, and it is expected that the screen doors of all stations on Line 1 will be installed and put into use before the end of 2008. Line 2 The first section of Guangzhou Metro Line 2 (Sanyuanli-Xiaogang) started operation on December 29th, 2002. On June 28th, 2003, the trial operation of Sanyuanli-Pazhou section of Metro Line 2 began. Guangzhou Metro Line 2 uses many leading technologies in China and even in the world. Guangzhou Metro Line 2 is one of the subway lines in the world with screen doors installed when the whole line is completed. Screen doors can ensure the safety of passengers waiting for the bus and save energy consumption. Sixteen stations of Guangzhou Metro Line 2 have been put into use, namely Sanyuanli, Guangzhou Railway Station, Yuexiu Park, Memorial Hall, Park Front (intersecting with Line 1), Haizhu Square, Shi Ergong, Jiangnan West, Xiaogang, Zhongda, Lujiang, Kecun (intersecting with Line 3), Chigang, Modisha, Xingang East, Pazhou and Wanshengwei. 2At the end of 2008, Metro Line 2 will be changed to Sanyuanli-Jiangnan West-Guangzhou New Passenger Station; In 2009, Metro Line 2 was extended northward to Jiahe, Baiyun District, and changed to Jiahe-Guangzhou New Passenger Station, with a total length of about 32 kilometers and 24 stations, namely Jiahe, Shanglin Town, Chentian Village, Jiangxia, Xinshi, Baiyun New City, Yuanjing, Sanyuanli to Jiangnan West, Yuejin Village, Menkougang, Dong Xiao South Road, Nanzhou, Luoxi, Nanpu and Nanpu. The first section of Guangzhou Metro Line 3 (guangzhou east railway station to Kecun) of Line 3 was opened on December 26th, 2005, with a total length of 6.30 kilometers and six stations. The whole line (including Kecun to Panyu Square and the branch sports west road to Tianhe Bus Terminal) was put into trial operation on December 30th, 2006. Line 3 runs from north to south, with a total length of 36.33 kilometers, including a main line and a branch line, with a total of 18 stations. Among them, the 13 stations of the main line are: guangzhou east railway station (intersection with Line 1), Linhexi, Tiyu West Road (intersection with Line 1, intersection of main line and branch line), Zhujiang New Town, Chigang Tower, Kecun (intersection with Line 2), Datang, Lijiao, Xiajiao, Dashi, Hanxi Changlong, Shiqiao and Panyu Square. The branch stations are named as follows: Tianhe Passenger Station, Wushan, Huashi, Gangding and Shipai Bridge. Line 3 takes the lead in adopting the Y-shaped line in China. The main line runs through the central axis of Guangzhou New City and the development axis of Panyu District from north to south, and the branch line starts from Tianhe Passenger Station and connects with the main line at Sports West Station, thus solving the passenger flow problem more economically and effectively. The designed maximum speed of the train on Line 3 is 120km/h, which is the highest among the built subways in China. In addition, Guangzhou Metro also plans to open the north extension line and the south extension line of Line 3. The north extension line runs from guangzhou east railway station to the new Baiyun Airport (the auxiliary line of Line 3), with a total length of about 28.9 kilometers. There are 11 stations. It is expected that the section from Huangge to jinzhou area will be opened in June 2007. The slope of Line 4 is 55‰, and the objective conditions require that the trains on Line 4 must have strong climbing ability. The linear motor drive uses the thrust generated by the electromagnetic effect between the linear motor and the induction plate installed in the middle of the track as a train. The traction or electric braking force of the train, the climbing ability of the train is three times that of the ordinary rotating electric machine train, which can reach more than 70‰. The train on Line 4 can turn with a minimum radius of 60 m: means that it can guarantee a round trip when it loses 1/4 power and the train is equipped with rated capacity. When losing 1/2 power and carrying the rated capacity, the train can start on the slope of 60‰ and drive to the nearest station; An empty train can start on a slope of 60‰ when it is towing a faulty train in an overcrowded state (no power). In addition, the train on Line 4 has fully automatic driving function. Line 4 will become the world&;s first large-capacity linear motor line and the first rail transit line in China adopting linear motor vehicle technology.
