Guang Zhouta was founded on November 25th, 2005, and Guang Zhouta officially started construction. On April 6th, 2006, the acceptance of the foundation pit project in Guang Zhouta was completed, and the bid opening of the general construction contract was started. On April 25th, 2006, Guang Zhouta started the construction of the main pile foundation project. On August 27th, 2008, the 454m main tower of Guang Zhouta was capped, surpassing CITIC Plaza to become the tallest building in Guangzhou. All the construction tasks of Guang Zhouta are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2009, and will be put into use in 2010, and will undertake the broadcast task of Guangzhou Asian Games. Guang Zhouta was completed on September 28th, 2009, and Guang Zhouta was officially opened to the public on September 30th, 2010. Tickets were officially sold to receive tourists on October 1st.
