Jilin Institute of Technology and Business is an undergraduate school formed by the merger of Jilin Finance and Taxation College, Jilin Commercial College and jilin grain college in 2007. Although they were merged from three colleges, they are also old-fashioned colleges in Jilin Province, with a long history of running schools. Both the Finance School and the Commercial School were founded in 1960, and the Grain School has a short history, but it was once the only grain college in China, with a solid professional foundation, and the overall strength has also developed after the merger. At present, the majors offered by the school cover seven categories, including economics, management, literature, engineering, science, agriculture and art, among which economics and management are relatively strong. The school has three campuses, Heping Campus is near Nanjinjiang Park, Heping Street, Changchun City, Xi &;an Campus is near Xi &;an Square, Xi &;an Road, Changchun City, and Kalun Campus is near Kalun Lake in the northeast of Changchun City. There are 43 undergraduate majors in the school, among which food science and engineering are national specialties, while accounting, tourism management, business administration and bioengineering are provincial specialties. Hotel management and food science and engineering are also national reform pilot majors. At present, the training of school students includes two levels: junior college and undergraduate course. On the whole, Jilin Institute of Technology and Business is not in the top of the university rankings in this province. In the University Ranking of Alumni Association Edition, Jilin University of Technology ranks around 590 in the whole country and around 18 to 20 in the ranking of 22 universities in Jilin Province. After all, this school is located in the economically underdeveloped northeast.
