Hongluo Temple, located in Huairou, Beijing, has a history of more than 1,700 years. It is a royal temple with a strong incense and an endless stream of people going there every day. When I was in Huairou short training class in 2013, I had been here twice, one in spring and the other in autumn, which happened to be a good time to go to Hongluo Temple. When spring goes, it catches up with the wisteria behind the Hall of Great Heroes, like a string of purple agates falling all over the branches. When I went in autumn, I also went when the leaves of the Millennium male and female ginkgo trees were yellow. There are &”;three wonders&”; in Hongluo Temple: First, the Imperial Bamboo Forest, which is said to have been planted in the Yuan Dynasty, has a history of more than 600 years. It has been recorded in history that Emperor Kangxi once watched bamboo here and had people count how many bamboos there were, and there are 613 recorded. Now there are millions of bamboos here. Second, there are male and female ginkgo trees. There is a ginkgo tree in front of the Hall of Great Heroes, which is said to be more than a thousand years old, with a female tree in the east and a male tree in the west. In the golden autumn of October every year, it is really golden to see the ginkgo tree here, and the tree is also golden. Photographers like to take pictures here. Third, wisteria is sent loose. On the west side behind the Hall of Ursa Major, there is a flat-topped pine tree about 6 meters high, and its branches are divided into nine branches. Two wisteria trees with thick bowls are wrapped around the pine tree. May is the best time to appreciate wisteria. Visitors can also climb the Hongluo Mountain, enjoy the flowers in spring and the leaves in autumn, and the forest is dyed and the red leaves are brilliant. The scenery here is as good as that of Xiangshan. Hongluo Mountain also has the &”;Five Hundred Arhats Garden&”; and the Thousand Hands Guanyin Hall, all of which are worth visiting. 500 arhats are carved with bluestone in proportion to this person. These arhats sit or stand, with different looks and expressions. Legend has it that it is also very spiritual for Hongluoshan to seek children and marriage. Especially female tourists. There is a folk saying in Beijing that &”;male harmony, female red snail&”; means that it is more effective for men to pray at Yonghe Palace and for women to pray at Hongluo Temple. These are all folk tales, which are not to be believed. However, the scenery here is beautiful and it is also a very wrong leisure and entertainment scenic spot.
