Xiejiaji District belongs to Huainan City, Anhui Province, located in the west of Huainan City, between Huaihe River and Donghuai River, at 116 54 ′-117 01 ′ east longitude and 32 32 ′-32 39 ′ north latitude. Xiejiaji District was established in October 1960, bordering Changfeng County in the south, Shouxian County in the west and Huaihe River and Bagongshan Mountain in the north, which is the central city in the west of Huainan City. Xiejiaji District has two provincial-level industrial parks, five streets, six towns and three townships. In 2014, Xiejiaji District achieved a regional GDP of 8.443 billion yuan. Xiejiaji District has the Tomb of Huang Xie, the Warring States Chu Xiang Chun Shen Jun, the Tomb of Yang Qizhen, the Navy Commander of the Qing Dynasty, the Laishanji Mosque, and the provincial scenic spots Wolongshan Forest Park and Wabu Lake. Geographical Environment Editing Location The territory of Xiejiaji District covers an area of 437.7 square kilometers, located in the west of Huainan City, between Huaihe River and Donghuai River, with geographical coordinates of 116 54&; ~ 117 01&; east longitude and 32 32&; ~ 32 39&; north latitude. It is bordered by Tianjiaan District in the east, Changfeng County in the southeast, Wabu Lake and Donghe River in Shouxian County in the southwest, bagongshan district in the northwest and Erdaohe Beach in the north. The easternmost point is located at the waist of Da and Xiao Luoshan in Shanyu Village, Wangfenggang Town; The westernmost point is located at the top of Huashan Mountain in Rushan Village, Tangshan Township; The northernmost part is located on the north side of the tractor-ploughing team dam of Erdaohe Farm in Wangfenggang Town; The southernmost tip is located at the intersection of Huainan, Lu &;an and Hefei in Wabu Lake. Topography: The stratum in Xiejiaji District is basically well developed, but most areas are covered by Quaternary alluvium. The bedrock exposure is limited to the low mountains such as Bagongshan and Shungeng Mountain on the edge of the city. The exposed strata are mainly Qingbaikou, Sinian, Cambrian and Ordovician, and the ancient metamorphic rock series are scattered along the line from Dashishan to the southern foot of Luoshan, and other strata are occasionally found on the surface. The area is located in the south wing of Huainan syncline, sandwiched between Shungeng Mountain and Fuyang-Fengtai thrust nappe structures. The strata exposed along Luoshan-Dashishan are mainly Sinian, Cambrian and Ordovician limestone, and pre-Sinian metamorphic rocks and tertiary red strata are scattered. Shouxian-Laorencang fault buried underground in Shannan is connected with Mesozoic red strata in Hefei Depression. Carboniferous and Permian coal-bearing strata occur in a large area underground in Shanbei, and the mines of Liyingzi and Xiejiaji are located above the coal measures. There are significant differences in geological characteristics between the eastern and western parts of the area. The geological situation in the western part is simple and the eastern part is complex. The western Xiejiaji coal measures are directly covered with Quaternary alluvium, which is generally 20 meters thick. Gneiss and limestone caps formed by thrust nappe faults are covered on the Liyingzi coal measures in the east, and the nappe faults are in a slope-like undulating shape.
