The public security sub-bureau belongs to a unit with functional departments in charge of public security work. Public security bureaus are usually classified as: municipal public security bureau, provincial capital city public security bureau, prefecture-level city public security bureau and county-level public security bureau. Except for county-level public security bureau, the first few can be divided into sub-bureaus according to the districts of cities.
