Yungang is Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province. Lianyungang is a prefecture-level city in Jiangsu Province, referred to as Lian for short. It was called Yi, Donghai, Haizhou, Yuzhou and Haining in ancient times. It is also known as a port city. It is named Lianyungang because it faces Liandao and is backed by Yuntai Mountain, and because of the seaport. Lianyungang is located in the eastern coastal area, in the northeast of Jiangsu Province, on the west bank of Haizhou Bay, bordering the Yellow Sea in the east, Xuzhou and Suqian in the west, Huai &;an and Yancheng in the south, Rizhao and Linyi in Shandong Province in the north, and has jurisdiction over 3 districts and 3 counties.
