Jiangnan and Jiangbei are divided by the Yangtze River. The area south of the Yangtze River is Jiangnan and the area north of the Yangtze River is Jiangbei. Jiangnan and Jiangbei are generally understood in a narrow sense, that is, the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Including Nanjing, Zhenjiang, Changzhou, Wuxi, Suzhou, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Jiaxing, Shaoxing, Huzhou and other cities in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. Including Yancheng, Huai &;an, Yangzhou, Nantong, Taizhou, Hefei, Lu &;an, Chuzhou, Anqing and other cities and some county towns in Jiangsu and Anhui in the north of the Yangtze River, which is generally called the Jianghuai area. Jiangnan and Jiangbei are only separated by the Yangtze River, but they will never affect the cross-strait cultural exchanges and economic development. The middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River are the confluence of Wu culture and Huaiyang culture; Several Yangtze River bridges span from north to south on the river surface, which is &”;the natural moat becomes the thoroughfare&”;, greatly narrowing the economic gap between Jiangnan and Jiangbei. Now, the state has listed &”;three provinces and one city&”; in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Anhui as the unified planning and development of the Yangtze River Delta economic circle (one of the three major economic circles), and will build the Yangtze River Delta integration zone. We can fully believe that a new bright pearl will shine brightly and make more and greater contributions to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation!
