In Guangdong, there have always been only three ethnic groups, but there are no five southern ethnic groups. They all belong to the descendants of the Han nationality who have successively descended from the Central Plains: Guangfu ethnic group, Hakka ethnic group and Minnan dialect ethnic group, which speak Guangfu dialect, Hakka dialect and Minnan dialect respectively. Chaoshan people, Leizhou people, Dianbai people and shanwei people all belong to people who speak different branches of Minnan dialect. This clan was the official people of the Southern Song Dynasty who had to move south with the Central Plains people going south with the Mongols and the Jin State. After the last years of the Southern Song Dynasty, they followed the Southern Song Dynasty and retreated to resist the Mongols, and a large number of people moved south from the coastal areas of Fujian. Their distribution area is very consistent with the path of important royal family members fleeing south in the Southern Song Dynasty. Guangfu people should be the garrison stationed in Lingnan area after the 500,000 troops sent by Qin Shihuang unified Baiyue area. They merged with the local people to form an ethnic group, and this ethnic group continued to develop. (A night view of Guangzhou) After the Han Dynasty unified the state of Nanyue, the Qin general, an administrative center was set up in Cangwu, which is now Wuzhou, Guangxi, and Fengkai, Guangdong, as the political center of Lingnan, which lasted for 300 years, forming a Guangfu culture here. (Riverview, Wuzhou, Guangxi) Hakka people have moved south many times. The earliest migration to the south should be the ethnic group developed by the descendants of Han nationality who moved southward from the Central Plains to Henan, Anhui, Hubei, Hunan and Jiangxi after the Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties. Hakka people and Minnan dialect people are two paths for Han people to move south, and the originating area and the settled area are obviously different. One is from the Central Plains to the mountainous areas of Guangdong, and the other is from the Central Plains to the coastal areas of Fujian for a period of time, and then suddenly a large number of people moved southward from the sea to the coastal areas of Guangdong. Guangfu people came earlier, and most of them extended and developed near several large historical and administrative center cities in the plain.
