Located in the campus of Sun Yat-sen University, the primary school affiliated to Sun Yat-sen University was founded in 1911. It was originally named as the primary school affiliated to Lingnan University. In 1927, it was renamed as the primary school affiliated to Sun Yat-sen University, and its name changed several times. In 1979, it was restored to the primary school affiliat—— Zhongda University.
