On November 25th, 2005, Guang Zhouta officially started construction, located in Haizhu District, Guangzhou. On April 6th, 2006, the acceptance of the foundation pit project in Guang Zhouta was completed, and the bid opening of the general construction contract was started. On April 25th, 2006, Guang Zhouta started the construction of the main pile foundation project. On August 27th, 2008, the 454m main tower of Guang Zhouta was capped, surpassing CITIC Plaza to become the tallest building in Guangzhou.
