The Guangming Expressway project is divided into four phases. The total length of the route is about 42.364 kilometers, passing through Chencun Town, Beijiao Town, Lecong Town, nanzhuang town in Chancheng District, Danzao Town and Xiqiao Town in Nanhai District. The whole line is designed with a speed of 100 km/h and six lanes in both directions. It is planned to be completed and opened to traffic in December 2019. The section from Xiqiao to Genglou of Guangming Expressway starts from the West Second Ring Expressway, passes through Xiqiao Town of Nanhai District, Baini Town of Sanshui District, lotus town Street, Mingcheng Town and Genghe Town of Gaoming District, intersects with Gaoming Section of Jiangzhao Expressway and ends at Baishi Town of Genghe Town of Gaoming District. The total length is about 42 kilometers, and it is a two-way six-lane design with a total investment of 3.14 billion yuan. It is understood that there are six toll stations along the first phase of Guangming Expressway (Xiqiao to Genglou section), including Dagang, Jinbai, lotus town, Cangjiang, Mingcheng and Baishi Tongwei, among which Dagang toll station will be seamlessly connected with the West Second Ring Expressway. According to the relevant documents of the Provincial Price Bureau, the toll standards for vehicles of Class I to Class V are 25, 40, 50, 75 and 90 yuan/train. This means that small vehicles such as cars and jeeps, which belong to the first class of vehicles, need 25 yuan once to complete the journey, and the charging standard is equivalent to that of Guangfo Expressway. The second phase starts from Wujiawei, Chencun Town, Shunde District, Foshan City, and ends at Dagang Village, Xiqiao Town, Nanhai District, with a total length of about 42.36 kilometers, passing through Beijiao Town, Lecong Town, nanzhuang town, Chancheng District and Danzao Town, Nanhai. The design speed of the whole line is 100 km/h, with two-way and six lanes. Construction started in June 2019 with a total investment of about 7.5 billion yuan. The third phase starts from Hualong Interchange of Guangzhou-Zhuhai North Line Expressway, uses the original Jinshan Avenue in Panyu District, passes through Nancun Town and Zhongcun Town, and ends at Wujiawei, Chencun Town, Shunde. The total length is 30.8 kilometers, and the design speed is 100 kilometers per hour. The whole line is built according to the standard of six-lane expressway. The total investment of the project is estimated to be about 5.8 billion yuan, and it was started on December 22, 2019. The West Extension Section (Phase IV) starts from Baishi, Genghe Town, Gaoming District, passes through Wanwu and Chuantian, and finally connects Gaocun with Shenluo Expressway. It is 19.7 kilometers long and has six lanes in both directions. The design speed is 100 kilometers per hour, and the project investment is estimated to be about 1,803.6 million yuan.
