As a civil servant directly under the municipal government, I often deal with departments directly under the provincial government. I can tell you that there are great differences, mainly reflected in economic treatment, work authority and room for progress. First of all, look at economic treatment. Provincial departments are generally provincial capital cities, and the economy is more developed than other prefecture-level cities in the province. Therefore, the wage standards of provincial departments, especially the standards of subsidies and bonuses, are obviously higher than those of ordinary prefecture-level cities. In the province where Xiaobian is located, at the same level, the treatment of provincial departments is 10,000-20,000 yuan higher than that of ordinary municipal units, or even more. Second, look at the work authority. Provincial organs are mainly macro-management, and the jurisdiction involves all cities in the province. The work is mainly to arrange deployment, supervision and inspection. If there are not enough people, you can also deploy personnel from the following prefecture-level cities to form a special class. Every time I go to a prefecture-level city to inspect the work, even if I am just a business supervisor, I will be careful to accompany me below. The functions and powers of municipal departments are more specific than those of provincial units, but they are mainly based on management, but the coverage is not as large as that of provincial units. And a lot of work at the level of prefecture-level cities is already a relatively specific business. Third, look at the development space. As long as the provincial organs are not too bad, they can generally be department-level cadres in their careers. After all, middle-level cadres in provincial organs are department-level cadres. Moreover, after the ranks are parallel, there is no limit to the number of directors of provincial organs, at least the first-level directors have started. It&;s easier to be a department-level cadre in a prefecture-level city, but the department-level cadre is definitely a ceiling, and many people can&;t achieve a breakthrough all their lives. In prefecture-level cities, the number of chief clerks is limited and needs to be recommended on the basis of merit. Many section chiefs with long service life even make constant efforts for the first-level chief clerks. Therefore, the provincial organs have good treatment, great authority and wide room for improvement. If there is an opportunity, you must go to the provincial organs instead of the municipal organs.
